What I expected, cheap and cheerful, nice location if you're wanting Jesmond or a cheap taxi into Newcastle. A little dated and the rooms could do with a lick of paint but for the price I'm not complaining about any of it, nice staff and 10% off food and drinks in the bar on a Saturday was a bonus.

Reading some reviews I was a little unsure how it would be, but it exceeded my expectations. Staff were all very friendly, facilities were pretty good. The big bar area super well stocked, loads of drinks options and food too. Theres special offers and also 25% discount when you flash your room card. The complimentary breakfast was suitable, offering toast, jams and spreads, croissants, a couple of yoghurts and couple of cereal options. Both cow milk and plant milk available too. We only made it twice on our stay as it is put away by 10am. The room we had was quite big, nice big bed, desk, tv (with Netflix, bbc iplayer etc) and with a lovely waterfall head shower. It was clean and fresh. Location wise it was a 25-30 minute walk to haymarket (top of town) but more of a 45 minute walk from the bottom of town (near the bridges). Theres metro stations nearby but we didnt use them. Theres loads of electric scooters on the street for hire. Theres a Tesco express and Waitrose just down the road. Theres a car park out the back. Overall value was good. I would stay again
