The Actors Forge

I can't recommend the actors forge enough - it's got something for the beginner, the experienced, and the one who's been out of the game for a few years and fancies giving it another go. It's always fun and the gang there are very welcoming. Dan is a great teacher and mentor (and friend) to everyone. He gives fair and honest feedback which really helps you develop as an actor (and human), whether you're there for the fun of it or if you're looking to give the acting thing a proper go.

I have learned so much since attending this class and my confidence has grown immeasurably in the craft of acting since attending. Was made to feel welcome from day one both by Dan, the class tutor, and by the warm encouragement of my fellow students. I can honestly say that this group now feels like family.

Under the watchful, knowledegable, constructively critical and supportive eye of director Dan Lemon this has been such a wonderful place to continue to learn, hone acting skills, be challenged while being supported by Dan, his team and fellow actors. Now well on the way to showreel and hoping for eventual professional work, as so many Forge members have done. And Dan seriously undercharges for what he does!

A great environment to learn in. Starting as a complete novice Dan and Rob have helped me make a lot of progress in a relatively short time. Classes have been fun, supportive, introduced me to a range of acting techniques with plenty of opportunity to put them into practice while providing me with real insight into the industry and effective feedback. They attract a lovely (and talented!) crowd of people and it's a joy to go back every week and see what everyone's going to be performing next

If you're looking for an acting class in the Newcastle area, I can't recommend the Actors Forge highly enough. Whether you're already on your acting journey and want to further develop your craft in a creative and supportive environment, or you just want to try something new with a great group of people, this is the place to be. The care that Dan shows for the progression of all those who join him is constant and utterly genuine, and I don't know how I'd find my way without his guidance. The Actors Forge is everything I hoped it would be, and so much more.
