Ross Elliott Surveying

Ross recently carried out a Level 3 (structural) survey for us on a Victorian property. His communication from the start was fantastic. Even before we'd booked him in, he was happy to have a chat about the best survey type for the property and was happy to talk through any work we were thinking of doing to the property so he could check it for us when he was there. 7 days after the survey, we received an incredibly detailed and thorough report in excess of 120 pages. In addition to this, he also gave us some extremely useful comments on the work we're thinking of doing. Ross immediately offered to have a chat with us once we'd read the report if we had any questions or areas of concern. We took him up on this offer after having read the report and prepared a long list of questions, all of which he was more than happy to answer for us. We spoke to him for an hour to go through all of our questions. He was very thorough with his answers and made sure we were happy with our understanding of his findings. He even suggested the order in which we should do some of the work and how we could bundle it together into 1 or 2 larger jobs to save money. There were some concerns he raised with the property which he was unable to check with the survey as they needed more intrusive work. We are already speaking to Ross about doing this work for us once we have the keys to the property. I couldn't recommend him highly enough to anyone needing a survey done in the area. He is extremely approachable and thorough and will definitely go the extra mile to make sure you fully understand his findings. Me and my partner are really pleased that we chose Ross to conduct our RICS level 2 homebuyers survey and valuation. Ross responded to all queries quickly and was friendly, helpful and informative. After conducting the survey, his report was provided quickly and was very detailed and thorough. I have no hesitation in recommending Ross Elliot Surveying Services. I recently had the home buyers and valuation report and found the depth and detail in the report was absolutely excellent. Each section had photos and it made it easy to read and understand. The report was very comprehensive and I was able to ask Ross for further details and advice. Ross provided a quick and professional service that saved me thousands. There was a checklist for the solicitor which was really helpful as it summarised the key points. There was hyperlinks to the council portal and EPC and this made it really easy to keep everything linked in with the one document. You cant take shortcuts with the most important and expensive purchase of your life. The survey and valuation was the best money I have spent.

We were extremely pleased to have instructed Ross to produce a Level 3 survey and report for a 1930s residential property in Gosforth. His report was very promptly produced, impressively thorough, with a lot of illustrative photos and useful details. He also offered helpful recommendations for improvements to the property, along with cost estimates and timeframes. The report was very easy to understand for non-experts too. We had a 1.5-hour follow-up phone call with him to address all of our questions, and he was always patient and knowledgeable throughout. We also got the impression that he actually really enjoys and is passionate about his work, which explains his professionalism and expertise.
