I wanted to try their Fried Chicken Benedict and it was honestly pretty horrific. The focaccia had an incredibly dry and dense crumb while also lacking the depth of flavour that usual comes from fermented doughs. The chicken was equally dry and either needed to be brined beforehand or just less time cooking; and the cornflake breading felt like a failed gimmick - dry, hard and lacking any kind of satisfying crunch. I'd honestly recommend just using a 2:1 ratio of flour and cornflour instead of cornflakes. The cornflakes are unecessary, too hard and don't achieve anything a mixture of flour and cornflour can't. My partner got the Chicken and Waffles which was also dissapointing. The chicken had the same problems as mentioned before, but this time with bland waffles that lacked any kind of textural contrast - dry chicken that lacked a satisfying crunch paired with soft, dry waffles with no crisp on the outside. I will say their cappuccino was delightful but after our experience with the food, I'm afraid we will not be returning unless major improvements are made.
