We stayed for 3 nights and was absolutely overwhelmed by the whole experience. The room was amazing, so tastefully decorated and had everything and more you could ever need for a stay away from home. This accommodation lived up to and even exceeded most 5* hotels. Avril and Gus were just the most perfect hosts and could not do enough for you. They go above and beyond to make sure their guests enjoy their stay with them. The breakfasts were just the best I have ever tasted, from the continental selection to the amazing cooked breakfasts that set you up for the whole day. Location is also perfect for a short stroll into the city. I was actually sad to leave but will defiantly be back as everything was just perfect.

Excellent BnB. Hosts Avril and Angus were super accommodating for our arrival (very responsive via email), and went above and beyond to look after us. Facilities spotless, comfortable and cosy. Lots of little extras make the stay even more enjoyable- toiletries, tea/coffee, snacks, ironing board & iron, etc. Breakfast in the morning was great- selection, quality, and service. Would love to return.

I think this might be the best place I've ever stayed! This was an amazing place to stay after me and my friend walked Hadrian's Wall in a week. The room was beautiful, the bathroom was clean and fresh. They provide free toiletries which were lovely. The hosts are some of the nicest people I've met, with nothing being to much trouble. My breakfast was the best I'd had all holiday, with fresh bread, fruit, yoghurts, a toaster and freshly squeezed orange juice! They offer other breakfasts too, but this was perfect for me. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. The heater was excellent for drying any damp clothes and Angus even offered to dry any extra clothes in the front room for us. The decor is just great, clearly someone in the house is very creative. It also has some of the best rugs I've ever felt under foot! When I headed out for dinner and my friend stayed behind, Angus was eager to make sure we were ok and confirmed I had the key to let myself back in after my meal. All in all, the best stay of the entire trip. I highly recommend staying here!
