After seeing all the positive reviews, my mother in and law and I decided to visit this salon. I booked two appointments at 1pm, one for a cut and blow-dry for myself and trim for my mother-in-law. Whilst booking the appointments, I made it clear what the appointments were for. Unfortunately, my experience was not good. These were the issues: - despite our appointments, we were seen late. I was seen first and my mother-in-law was seen approximately 30/40 mins after the appointment time. - I was seen by Kayleigh who frankly, couldn't care less. She was quite dismissive and I felt like an inconvenience to her. For example, she mentioned how her daughter had not taken a key to get back home because she "thought I'd be back home by now". I felt this was rude as I have long, thick black hair which took time to cut. I went from long hair to quite short hair. She asked another lady to "help me as I'm running late" - I assume Kayleigh was supposed to see my mother-in-law too but was running out of time due to me. This further made me feel rushed. - After the cut, Kayleigh asked, if I wanted "any product on my hair", I asked for clarification and she just pointed to a range of bottles with no explanation. Not helpful at all. - after the blow-dry, I had to ask her to thin out the ends of my hair as it did not sit right. Isn't the hairdresser supposed to know? - my 6 week old baby was in a sling wrapped to my chest. Kayleigh blew hot air from the hairdryer directly onto his face and I had to shield his face with my hand. I think she could have easily angled the hairdyer away from his face. - I asked her to use cold air to dry my hair which she did for a couple of mins but then used hot air again. This caused heat spots on my scalp which are very sore. - I asked for the OAP discount for mother-in-law who is 65, Kayleigh did not apply this to the final bill. - my mother-in-law in law was seen by a lovely lady with short red hair. She was wonderful and my mother-in-law's experience was very pleasant. She made more conversation with me than Kayleigh even though she wasn't even doing my hair! This lady is an absolute credit to the salon - thank you for being so nice. I may return to this salon but will not be seeing Kayleigh again.
