Never had an issue with the shop, except magazines not as diverse now. Shop workers always pleasant, shop pretty well stocked. A previous reviewer was moaning about RRP of nicotine. I hope she realises that the first R is for recommended and that shops have leeway on price - regardless of parental status. Overall, clean, tidy, fair.

I visited the shop today with my 2 year old who was on reins! He was being particularly difficult and whilst in the shop he started to grab bags of sweets of the shelves which are conveniently situated at toddler height. I stopped him and placed the 2 bags of sweets at the base of the display. Had I fiddled around putting them back on their stands he would have pulled more off. As I said it's been one of those days. I got to the till and the woman serving looked at me like I was nothing. She was rude in hiw she served me! Well I say served. I asked for a 12.5 gram box if amber leaf tobacco. 4.75 in all shops. She said it was 5.40?????? I had 5.00 cash and my card. Extra 50p to pay on card! 5.70 for a box of 4.75 tobacco ? I don't think so! I told her to leave it and left the shop feeling utterly humiliated. My point? A.every child has meltdowns, would it hurt to be a bit understanding and dare I say sympathetic to a mum who was obviously having a tough day? I was looked at like I was the lowest of the low! I'm not by the way I am a staff nurse!!! B. Is it legal to sell products at way more than there rrp? I shall be contacting trading standards to question this point! To the woman on the till, I say woman because you are no lady! I hope that your children are always model citizens and rest assured should you or you family need the services of the local hospital. If I'm there I will show you kindness and respect however way you or children behave. Why? Because I'm like that and I was raised to show respect compassion and empathy. Someting which you have obviously never been taught. !!!!
