Very disappointing and unprofessional. My partner has been having lessons for the better part of this year until this Saturday gone where her instructor told her she was booked in for her test Wednesday to have a lesson the hour before the test followed by having the car for the test itself, which we had booked about 3 months ago due to low availability. Today, two days before the test day we receive a text from the instructor saying he is no longer able to do the lesson and test, leaving us unable to get a refund and if we cancel now we have passed the 3 working days notice you need for a cancellation and refund so means we are also out of the 62 for the test. Not only is this a very disappointing experience which has left us completely stranded and unable to book another test for months and left us essentially wasting money for a test we can't now go to but is just the cherry on top of disappointment, during the lessons it wasn't uncommon have a lesson canceled hours before due to double booking or just to be told at the end of the lesson there would be no slots available in the coming week or two despite having paid for lessons in advance. Complete waste of money and time, especially with prices well above the average for Newbury. My recommendation is avoid and see who else is available in the area which is exactly what I will now be doing.
