Newark Northgate

First time travelling from here. Absolutely lovely staff and facilities. Staff very helpful. Nothing too much trouble and all done with a smile. Luke put suitcase on the train for me. Showed me where my seat was. On return journey again he took my case and made sure I had a taxi. Lovely guy. Would definitely recommend travelling from this station. Thank you.

Thank you to the staff on duty on Friday 30th December 2022 at NEWARK NORTHGATE when they came to my assistance when I travelled on the late running ex KINGS CROSS to DURHAM TRAIN. Due to lots of events happening on the railway lines that day which were beyond the railways control, it meant double the amount of passengers got on to this train at KX. I was stood with lots of other passengers, suitcases and a very large bull mastiff dog in the vestibule as it was so packed and due to having just recently had a total hip replacement and still on crutches, standing from KX I got over heated and was sick and passed out. The only thing I remember is staff helping me into a wheelchair and taking me to the staff room so that I could get myself together and get cleaned up. They then kept an eye on me and kindly got me back on to the next train to DURHAM so I could get home. I was deeply embarrassed and sorry for the passengers on the train but the staff were so calm and kind that they made a bad situation bareable and I am grateful for their help. Thank you.
