The Plough Retreat

Just stayed here for two nights whilst attending a horse show. Room was clean, tidy, comfy and had plenty of useful appliances. Was a cold snap when I stayed and my first night was very cold as it took a while for the heater to warm it up and I suppose as expected, the pub was rather loud (it was a Friday and Saturday night). Great location, great parking, easy to find and access. Would definitely recommend.

Overall good stay, good communication from Dan about check in, The room was nice and warm, the bathroom needs to be warmer. Could also have done with a warmer duvet. Good to have fridge, kettle and toaster, very handy. Floor needed a sweep but overall was clean. Good value for the night and also very good food at The Plough, but so popular early evening had to wait to eat but worth it. Touch up of paint on walls and skirtings would make it better again... the small details.... Would stay again for convenience to Newark.

Nice location, lots of parking, easy access and a very helpful contact (Daniel) The self-contained flat was clean and had everything that we required The only negative was the couch, which could do with some new seat cushions The pub next door (which is a separate business) was popular, friendly and offered a nice pint as well as lovely food On this occasion we were visiting family, and we will be returning The Plough Retreat
