From the first moment my Wife and I approached Ashley to assist with the purchase of our dream home, we knew we were in safe hands. Ashleys approach is "concise" but also paced well for buyers like ourselves who were unfamiliar with the process. Throughout the process Ashley was easy to communicate with and responded promptly to emails and calls. We really could not recommend LCS mortgages more. Thank you for all your help!

Ashley was very enthusiastic, but really it was just to give us false hope. We applied for a mortgage and had a decision in principle, but due to my visa we were not able to be accepted unless we had a 25% deposit. We found another house and could have gone with any lender, but Ashley assured us it would be a quick process as we had already provided the necessary information and documents. We applied for the mortgage and after 1 month, we still did not have a mortgage offer. We had to chase them for updates. They would say "you will hear back next week", then the next week it would be another week. With frustration, we told them we would go elsewhere. We decided to speak to another broker and had our mortgage approved in 5 days. Avoid.

There is a reason why you cant find reviews online and that is solely because this company is very unprofessional, unresponsive and lazy. Especially Nicola and Ashley who at first seemed very enthusiastic but three months down the line after I had submitted them everything and was chasing them as I hadnt heard anything, there was no response. I called the solicitors directly to get an update as I had heard nothing from them either and there I found out that they forgot to notify the solicitor that the transfer needs to take place. Once the transfer process started I finally felt like I was getting somewhere however then the solicitors told me that the broker had categorised the mortgage and transfer wrong so they would not be able to act for me and I would have to start the whole process again. This was 4 months into the process. I will highlight two failures of the brokers here; 1. They should have known what kind of mortgage and transfer this is as they are the so called experts. Albeit my application is slightly complicated however thats why I opted for a broker instead of doing it myself. 2. They shouldnt have referred me to a solicitor that doesnt deal with Sales and Purchases, and that only deals with transfers. Especially after three months of waiting to be referred. I was ready to leave in Friday and delighted when they told me that I could get my refund, moments after the call was cut with Nicola, Ashley called me back trying to keep me on as a customer. I said I will think about it and she said she would call me back on Monday, I waited for her call till Thursday evening and then decided to go with a new broker. To summarise: Both Nicola and Ashley dont know what they are doing, and the fact that they even charge a broker fee is surprising due to the lack of knowledge, professionalism and customer service that they have. Just a waste of 4 months I really wish I never went with them.
