Purley Dene - Holiday Accommodation

I always intended to write a review, but always forgot to do so. Today we once again talked about our really nice holidays in Purley Dene and how we miss it, staying here. Due to Brexit and Covid our last time here has been in 2019

We found this as a late alternative to our cancelled French holiday. It was practically perfect. 1st the location, it is literally on the dunes at the beach, although the sandy only a few minutes walk to the sandy beach. A large garden with plenty of seating and everything you could need for a charcoal BBQ.. You need to go to the end of the garden to see the sea, but there is a raised patio patio where you can sit and watch the sunrise over the bay. The sea goes out 1/2 a mile and you cant really walk to it a low tide due to some quicksand, however a huge area of sand is safe for walking so dont be put off! All local shop is 3 minutes walk and there is a Sainsburys in the town just over a mile away, also good proper local butcher (for your BBQ) Inside the House is very well equipped with just about all you could need, for a comfortable stay. 1 larger bedroom with bunk beds and a double, a twin room and a double room. The twin and double room face the beach so you can wake up to the amazing sea view and the sound of seabirds. The WiFi is a little slow, but the whole village is still not fiber, we did manage to watch movies through the smart TV ok and if you have a tablet with downloads and the correct cables you can also connect easily too. Comfortable beds, good shower, good cooking facilities. Large open rooms downstairs. Oh the heating worked well too a couple of times when needed. Loads to do in the local area Highly recommend this as a better alternative to a long drive to West Country. The village is not touristy, no arcades! Which is brilliant.
