Wow was my reaction on opening the door and it continued as I walked through each room, everything thought about with care, in fact we named this cottage our new holiday home. The Dukeries are a wonderful place for an amazing break both peaceful and active stunning walks in Clumber Park just imagining a lifetime passed...or being a Monk in the Cistercian Abbey of Rufford and Robin Hood in Sherwood Forest...Lincoln being a short drive away, Laxton a 10 minute drive is home to the Holocaust museum a very thought provoking experience, having visited Austwitz I can recommend the museum being atmospheric and educational. A must is a visit to the award winning Watermill tea rooms just a few doors away from Savile House also a visit to the fish and chip restaurant and the excellent Marston Carvery at the Alder pub both a 2 minute drive away being opposite each other and the joy of returning back to the cottage with catch up TV. A perfect holiday Sit back relax and enjoy as you won't want to leave.
