There are different options from to completely do it yourself to have everything done for you, even the viewings! I liked knowing I had different options even if at the end I did all by my self.
If you feel confident enough, I Am The Agent is the best way to sell your house as no one else knows it better than you!

So everything successful my end until I received a message from a potential buyer saying - Property not in the correct location and no I do not want any details". When I looked onto the Rightmove website my property was indeed in the wrong location. Not by a few meters but by over 40 miles???
I had put in the correct postcode but somewhere along the line I Am The Agent system threw it completely out.
Several weeks, emails, phone calls later and after I Am The Agent tried to tell me initially I had put the postcode in wrong! It finally got resolved. It only got resolved because I directly contacted Rightmove and only then was something done to correct the issue.
However it didn't last long. Within a few days it was once again 40 miles out.
The long and short of the situation is that I Am The Agents software is not 100% compatible and when someone goes into the system for any reason it was making the location jump out. Every time I checked within the 14 weeks contract it had jumped out. Funny enough the property didn't sell as all enquiries where for 40 miles away. I spent 175 and did not receive the service expected when there was an issue.
If I Am The Agent had done as it was supposed to i.e put my property correctly on websites such as Rightmove then I am sure I would have been giving a different review.
I will NOT use I Am The Agent again.

I liked being able to give the personal touch, and the people viewing liked that too. I liked the fast turn-around for appointments - no more left messages or waiting in a queue. I liked being able to write my own property description, take our own pictures and move things around when I wanted to, and almost all of the viewers mentioned it. I liked that I set the sale price (unlike some of the competitors). I liked being able to manage communication with the viewers, and eventually handling negotiations myself instead of at arms length. I liked the long time limit - again, better than some of the competition.
And obviously, I liked the reduced cost compared to a conventional estate agent
I had some questions in the early stages, but they were answered quickly, clearly and patiently.
The house is just sold subject to contract so far, so there's a way to go yet, but IAM have been good.
