Lavenders

This shop is the most unwelcoming I have ever been in and the assistant/owner the most patronising I have ever encountered. My partner and I called in looking for a pair of lampshades. Having previously been there and been told to bring in the lamps to ensure the correct sizing we went in again as suggested. We were barely through the door when a woman behind a sewing machine without so much as a hello or a can I help you responded to us saying we wanted 2 lampshades by taking one look at us in our gardening clothes and dismissing us as not up to her standard of customer. We were basically told her lampshades were very expensive because of the quality of her materials and so she wouldnt have what we would want. She suggested Homebase as an alternative.

Lovely shop with lovely people, selling unusual things. Took my girlfriend there for a mooch where she really loved the smell and array of beautiful items. Just as you thought the high street was drowning in copy cat tasteless and mass produced garbage a shop like Lavenders comes across your path. Thank you and see you again!
