The best local nursery in the area, in my opinion. The majority of plants are grown locally so you know they will grow in our northern climate, rather than plants imported from Holland etc. It's also a really lovely place to walk around and see the plants growing in a natural habitat. Great, sensible prices and expert advice too.

Excellent range of good quality, weed free, herbaceous plants, shrubs & trees, all good value for money in these expensive modern times. Very much a family business, propagating & growing on most of their own plants, and building some wonderful garden structures, including a meeting room/honesty box tea/coffee room, and a chapel/meeting room. Lovely setting for the garden & nursery areas, with parts of the old Hall (private) possibly dating back to the 1400s.
