John Eadon designed and produced a bespoke coffee table for us. The final result is a unique and beautiful piece of timeless furniture, produced with the highest quality of craftsmanship. John's furniture is beautiful, built to last, and made using really intricate techniques. There seems to be so many makers out there now who have identified a way of churning out a seemingly handmade product, without much proper training, and jumping on the handmade bandwagon. John, however, is a legit, bonafide, properly trained artisanal furniture maker. The real deal. When I purchased a table by John I was buying a surface to put things on, but I was also investing in a beautiful object that will outlive me and my kids. His work is enduring both physically (in the durability of the hardwoods he uses and the joinery he produces) and also in terms of style. John's works draws on different design traditions, and so his pieces have a timelessness that will see them through the ages. I'd recommend buying a John Eadon piece to anyone who can afford one, and I'd not be at all surprised if the pieces he's making now are worth a lot of money in 200 years time.
