Richmond Village Nantwich is a lovely place to spend your later years if you are fortunate enough to have the means, as was my close relative. She spent the last 10 years of her life in a flat overlooking the bowling green, very much enjoying her daily walks in the well-kept grounds with their ever-abundant plants and flowers. She also greatly benefited from the facilities provided in the main building, where she took her main meals. The availability of excellent on-site care was another huge benefit, allowing my relative to remain in her own home for as long as possible, as an alternative to onsite residential care (available if required). The family also greatly appreciated the high standard of support provided by all members of staff, including in relation to the purchase and - ultimately - sale of the flat. Property prices might seem to be on the high side, but are reflective of the availability and standard of the services on offer. The one negative, and the reason that this is a 4 star, not 5 star, review, is that by virtue of a standard term in the lease, on the sale of the flat, a fee of 10% of the sale proceeds is required to be paid to Richmond Village - a term that we have always considered to be unfair and wholly unjustified, and it is to be hoped that BUPA, the current owners of Richmond Village, will one day do the right thing and cancel this charge - or be required by the courts to do so.

My Mum was in Richmond Nantwich - initially she lived in a flat in the main building and when she became unwell she was transferred to the care home wing. Throughout her time there the staff were fantastic. They were always cheerful, patient and kind. When Mum was living in her flat she had daily activities to look forward to and when she became less well the staff were helpful at every turn and nothing was too much trouble. The endless kindness and fortitude of the staff was humbling. I could not have wished for anything more. Thank you.
