Dreadful experience - no prep done, very patchy, paint splashed everywhere. Unfortunately he was paid but I should have taken my daughters advice and taken him to a small claims court to recover payment . Definitely do not recommend. I have now employed a mother and daughter team who are redecorating house room by room - they are doing a brilliant job

Just finished decorating my halls, stairs and landing, as well as wallpapering a couple of bedrooms. Alan is an amicable chap, very efficient and reliable. I will be more than happy to recommend his work to friends and family locally. I have also booked him in for some extra work in my lounge later in the year. Thanks Al for a great job!

I have a rental property in the area at the end of a tenancy, a property that Alan had previously decorated. Unfortunately the last tenants left the property in a very poor condition. I needed a decorator to come in to work to tight timescales in order to get the property back up to a high standard and rented again quickly. Before starting work Alan gave me some great advice and number of options in respect of how best to create that wow factor whilst keeping costs to a minimum. He purchased all the materials required and did additional work required to create an outstanding finish. Alans attention to detail was spot on and I am extremely happy with the results. My new letting agent was so impressed, I have passed his details on to her. He is a pleasant, professional chap and was always open and honest throughout the job and a pleasure to deal with. I would have no hesitation in recommending his services.

Towards the end of last year, we purchased a 20 year old property in Nantwich with the intention of moving home from Manchester before Christmas. The house was in reasonable condition but required the refurbishment of the two bathrooms and kitchen, some structure changes and complete internal redecoration. A local builder was engaged together with Marshall Painting and Decorating. Several of the rooms and hall stairs and landing had been previously wall papered. These required to be stripped and the walls sanded and prepared so they could be emulsion painted. Fortunately, Marshall Painting and Decorating had previously invested in the right equipment to do this job effectively whilst keeping the inevitability dust under control. The amount of work involved in preparing each room, emulsion the walls and ceilings, glossing the skirting and doors and painting the radiations in every room, to a high standard should not be underestimated. Alan Marshall, also had to coordinate his decorating work with the builder, which especially at the start of the project was no easy task. Towards the end, as frequently the case, timescales became quite tight but Alan was always willing to put in the extra effort by working late and weekend to ensure the job was completed in time. The result is a nicely decorated home of which we are proud and has been admired by many of our visiting friends. Thank you for a good job finished on time, Marshall Painting and Decorating. .
