I've heard many horror stories about VSL. Horrible company to work for: will withhold pay and still ask you to take on new assignments. office reps are completely unresponsive particularly to contractors outside of the UK since we cant readily go to their office for answers. Zero accountability and zero willingness to resolve issues in a timely manner. Honestly not sure how they're still in business. I would steer clear of them eSpecially if you are not based in the UK. Its amazing how much faster your response time is now that we've written a Google review. you should endeavor to respond as quickly if no review was written. Whats even more disappointing is that you still refuse to own this mistake by declaring my review as "largely inacurate". The fact is payment was essentially withheld and i was left to make multiple international calls at cost to me to figure out why! You characterize a non-payment as a "mis-communication"? shame on you. Till date, nobody has ever said exactly what happened to the initial payment. Colleagues were paid a week prior and no explanation was given as to why. In regards to your characterization of the service i received from your staff as "prompt and professional", i beg to differ. They were the opposite of Prompt and Professional. Here's a bit of advise...when a mistake happens, especially one regarding non-payment of wages, own the mistake and rectify immediately. Terrible Company to work for. Took half a year to get paid. Unprofessional and horrible. Since they took their time replying to this review and are on damage control, I might as well add that their email system is garbage, no privacy, responding to all and revealing private email addresses, "Not carry out the work to a standard" So I'm guessing that in the 12 months I wasn't working for them and chasing them for payments they suddenly deemed me "compliant". Shady company :)
