This branch has some very friendly and helpful staff. The greeters in particular go out of their way to help resolve your issues. At the moment the opening hours are limited, so best to check them before you go!

Branch never open, poor service

Its closing in Sept and while some may be aggrieved, this is now the normal for Barclays or any bank. The staff in general are disinterested, probably because the banks are closing, the data used for the reasons on closing takes into account the lock down periods, so yes, counter transactions would be down considerably. Customers would walk in , see the long queue and 1 counter open and again, yes would just leave, so the data is corrupt to close them. It seems most banks have zero interest in the face to face service a bank used to have and the saving Barclays, or for that matter any bank save on rent/mortgage, staff , heating , business rates, insurances etc, far out weight anything you as a customer may need. Get used to that, because it seems they will all be gone within the next 5 years.
