I wasnt kept informed from the Colchester store with the process,I found the staff unhelpful and to be honest quite rude, I was told not to use them and told this to the manager when he came to measure for the stairlift and he said they have had no negative feedback, probably like myself they were worried about the aftercare not being given. From my personal experience I wish I had gone elsewhere from start to finish its been a nightmare, he turned up at 10am to fit the lift didnt say who he was, asked where I wanted the stair lift fitted, then ignored me from there, went and sat in the van from 10.30 to 11.30am. The stair lift isnt on straight and was told my walls were not straight, the seat I slid off, they went and got a refurbished one with no key as it snapped off, an item on the wall was knocked off and smashed which wasnt near where they should have been, he walked into my bedroom even though the door was closed, my disabled daughter who is 18 could have been in that room in bed or getting dressed and he didnt ask or knock on the door to see if it was ok to enter. I havent used the lift, it makes so much noise and clunks but was told I would get used to it. After nearly 6 hours they left and still no response from the person who fitted it. 5 min after they leave I go to use the lift which doesnt now work, I called them back on the phone to be told that they trapped the safety wire because they RUSHED the job. I hope people are more cautious who they have work done from. I was worried about posting this as I have to wait for a new seat and servicing in the future but if I dont say something then this could happen to other customers. Had an email on trustpilot, no apology just a generic response of how they will do things better. What a joke, not even had it a week and already stuck at the top of the stairs. Customer service disgusting. I could have written so much more about the service.
