After a long day, and having guesstimated my arrival time upon booking earlier in the day, I realised it wasn't looking likely. I called the hotel and spoke to the proprietor Dino to advise I'd be arriving later. The way he spoke to me, his manner, and reassurance made me feel I was in good hands. I had to walk there, reasons are irrelevant, but it was about 4 miles through walker unfriendly territory ie. no paths etc. Anyway, Dino saw me stumble up the driveway clearly wondering what animal has crawled up his path to die. Non-judgemental, his warmth as a person shone through right away, and ensured I was OK. He didn't even know I was a guest of his hotel, he was concerned about my wellbeing! Subsequently, I then spent an hour having a brilliant chat with him about all sorts and everything. A true gent! Highly recommend VillaCai!
