River Cottage

We did a seasonal feast here and it was simply magnificent! The chef shared some great insights into the food preparation methods and what she foraged that day. Everything was really unique and delicious. Highly recommend visiting & doing a dining experience here.

We had high expectations for delicious food and we weren't disappointed on this front. We both had the Mushroom Sourdough Toastie which was excellent. The sign outside said 'Dogs Welcome' but this didn't quite extend to humans. Admittedly we hadn't booked so took a chance and the welcome was far from warm. We felt we were causing a nuisance for asking! They appeared over staffed and under motivated for the many empty tables. One young gentleman did eventually show some hospitality and we stayed for the good food. The loos were poor, unclean and wobbly loo seat that was certainly bought from the economy range from B&Q. Overall it just had a feel that the customer service side was an inconvenience to producing good food - I'd not rush back.

Wow! This place will blow your mind away. Down to earth, high quality food, wonderful surroundings, outstanding customer service and unbeatable price. We sat outside in a sunny winter/spring day and we loved every minute of it. Would give 6 stars if I could!

The pig in a day course was an amazing experience. The knowledge shared was immense and the food delicious.
