The Verzon House Hotel

Last minute decision to stay here after our journey had been slowed by bad weather. Possibly for this reason, there was no bedding for the sofa bed or milk (we didn't realise until nearly midnight and did not wish to bother staff so late). That aside, this is a stunning hotel with gorgeous spacious rooms at a very reasonable price. Hotel is some way out of Ledbury on a main road with ample free parking. Food in the restaurant was some of the best I've ever had, cooked, seasoned, and presented to perfection. They happily accepted our dog for a 10 surcharge, and we were allowed to have him with us during dinner and breakfast. Rooms: We selected a 'family room' which was more or less a suite with an entrance corridor, toilet/wet room, and a huge room with a large double bed, large sofa bed, armchairs, table, TV. mini-fridge, and a retro-style DAB radio.

Lazy Sunday lunch for two "ladies who lunch" , relaxed atmosphere, super service, delicious freshly prepared food, top marks Food & drinks: Delicious, varied menu excellent value and service
