An absolute gem of a camp site!! Booking a site was quick and easy. Upon our arrival and through-out our stay, all four of our camp hosts were super-friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to help whereever they could, even accommodating us with a last-minute change of stand, when we arrived and asked if we could upgrade to a hard surface pitch. The camp site itself neat, well organised and clean, with excellent facilities, including electricity points for most stands, a wash room for dishes and crockery, wasing machines and the like. The showers and bathrooms are well appointed and kept five-star clean. There is quiet time between 23h00 and 07h00. Visitors must be fully self-sufficient from a food, drinks and consumables perspective, as there is no on-site camp shop and no small grocery store in Ravenglass. There is good 4-G cell-phone reception as well as a camp-site WiFi service. The camp site itself is 5 minutes walk from Ravelglass village, where two excellent (albeit slightly pricey) local pubs/hotels can be found for lunch and dinner. The La'al Ratty train service which runs to Eskdale is even closer, and Muncaster Castle is also wihtin walking distance. For golfers, the Seascale Links is highly recommended. A day-trip tom e.g. Wasdale head is also a must do, when vcisiting Ravenglass. The LNRE train service stops regularly at the Ravenglass train station, and EV owners can find four PodPoint EV charging stations in the Ravenglass public parking lot. In summary, a wonderful stay at Ravenglass camp site, and we would love a return visit in the near future.
