For the money we paid for two nights the room was very basic looked nothing like the photos you see online My wifes disabled so we booked a ground floor room ( NUMBER 1 ) which when the guy on the desk told us it was right opposite reception we thought great until we realised that the wall of our room was next to the main entrance which obviously was quite noisy Especially when it got late and people were either leaving or going to bed It then started again at 6.45am with am guessing was staff coming to work and some female was quite loud The restaurant was brilliant couldnt fault the food and so was all the staff we then went into the bar and again that was really nice and staff very helpful The breakfast the next morning was lovely and very nice coffee The lady who served us couldnt be more helpful We booked Friday and Saturday but after not getting much sleep due to noise and the bed been very soft we decided to go home on the Saturday

Stayed for three nights. Whole stay was excellent. Chilled and relaxed vibe. Food was amazing. We stayed in a 5 star spa hotel on fourth night for some serious lake District luxury and we both preferred the Pennington! The service was so good too. Staff friendly and really helpful Recommend the elderflower gin with ginger ale, the hake and the brownie!! Would definitely stay again!
