It's our third time here. That should tell you enough already but it is such a lovely cottage that it deserves more attention. This time we stayed a week during Christmas. Cake and Wensleydale cheese plus a bottle of bubbly on arrival. The lounge was decorated and there was a Christmas tree. The cottage was warm and cosy and looked fresh and very clean. Considering that it is so popular, it is remarkable that it looks as if it has just been renovated. We discovered that during previous visits already but we don't take that for granted. It shows that Pat and Alan, the owners, take pride in providing the best they possibly can. They pay attention to every detail, from anything you might need in the kitchen, a beautiful bedroom, to even a set of toiletries in the bathroom in case you forgot your toothbrush or razor. All that gives you the confidence that, when Pat tells you that all surfaces have been disinfected, they really are. It is absolutely spotless, everywhere. The bed is enormous, the duvet is even bigger, the bathroom has a bath and separate shower, the towels are soft and thick and there are plenty of them. The clothes rack has so many hangers that you probably never use them all and ... they are all the same. There's a washing machine that is located in a heated room. Your washing is dry in no time. That's the interior. The location is great with views that are stunning. You probably don't want to leave the terrace in summer. It is all so relaxing. You get the picture. Aygill cottage is a wonderful place to stay and recharge your batteries. If you want to ask any questions to someone who has stayed there, ask Pat how you can talk to us and we will tell you why we like the cottage so much and why we will definitely return again.

Really nicely modernised traditional 1 bed cottage in a stunning corner of Yorkshire. Perfectly situated for walkers or, like us, just chilling and enjoying the views and wildlife... Sheep peering through the window etc. The bottle of prosecco and scones was a lovely touch, the kitchen was well stocked with crockery and condiments, even tea bags and a bit of fresh milk. There were bottles of wine to buy on an honesty system, and the bed was huge. Lovely.

Pat greeted us on arrival with a lovely warm smile. You can see the love and passion she puts into the cottage for all her guests. Prosecco and homemade scones for your arrival. A beautiful cottage with everything you need to fully enjoy your stay and lovely decor. Stunning views from every window and watching the sheep just wondering round the fields was so relaxing. Plenty of walks and cosy tea shops and pubs to enjoy. Would definitely recommend a stay here you wont be disappointed.
