The Burnside

What a beautiful little find. If you're after a quiet (and I mean the only sound is the vast wildlife) little retreat, where there is plenty of walks and nature this place is absolutely for you! The room (we stayed in the Robin) is a perfect size for 2 (with or without a dog) has everything you'd expect from self catering and more! Towels, linen and blankets all provided. The breakfast....WOW! Perfect cooked breakfast made fresh, we just let Jenna know the night before what time we wanted it. The host, Jenna has been so helpful, nothing is a bother, always happy to have a chat, but leaves you to your peace. I would certainly recommend The Burnside to anyone looking for some out of town peace and quiet. There's 2 pubs within walking distance, the nearest (fully dog friendly) has an amazing Sunday Lunch!

Had a brilliant stay here last week. The owner was lovely, really friendly and helpful and checked in with us throughout our stay. We had 2 chalets next door to each other which worked really well for the group. Really comfy mattresses and welcome scones on arrival. The breakfast was excellent quality and delicious, lots of variety. Would definitely recommend

We booked 4 cottages for weekend for our family reunion/birthday party. Cottages are super cozy and there is heaps of space for kids to run around. Loved the chickens and horses. Jenna is great host and serves amazing breakfast. We had two vegans in our group and she was able to accommodate them well. Lots of nice walks around. Definitely recommend.
