Bacon / Breakfast was smelling good as we walked in. Sad really as we only wanted Lattes. The Bacon Cob looked nice with well cooked as someone had one when we were there. Has an old English feel to it as its part of the Steam Rail concept.

Visited here at around 2.30 on Sunday afternoon. The cafe had run out of pretty much everything. Asked for a cappuccino and mocha but was told they couldnt do the cappuccino as they had run out of milk ( not great for a cafe, especially as there are plenty of shops in the village no more than a couple of minutes away). Went for 2 mochas, l really dont know how this was made but needless to say they were disgusting. Asked for these to be swapped, the only alternative was tea which they had just enough milk for. Even the tea was awful. The only cakes available looked like they were traybakes from a cash and carry that had been cut into small squares, on that basis I might as well just have bought a cake myself and stayed at home. I can only come to the conclusion that absolutely no effort has gone into to running the cafe or that they are so understaffed that it cant be run properly. I always feel a bit let down when cafes operate like this as it doesnt take too much effort to serve decent fare and the cafes that do get rightly deserved plaudits. Wont be visiting again.
