        We booked Richard to take us from Goring to Bury Down so we could walk back on the Ridgeway. I thought the fare was a little on the high side, but didn't quibble. When we got home, there was a message from Richard. When I called back, he told me that he'd mistakenly overcharged me and would like to repay the excess. He can do this when I book him for the next stretch of the Ridgeway!

        cancelled on me over two airport transfers, with less than a week to go. Only found out when I called him to verify all was okay; lucky i did. He hadn't let me know despite having my phone number and email Edit; "apparently not confirmed". Oh really? Shall I post the email traffic?

        Richard gave us a lift from The Swan at Streatley, to Luton Airport. He picked us up very early, at around 4:45 am, and still he was quite alert on the road. A very experienced driver! He was super calm even when people did crazy maneuvers in front of him on the highway. We had an excellent talk, I can only recommend him. Also much better fee than any other taxi we had found.
