My dad stayed at Fairmount for 4 weeks interim care and I felt it only fair for me to leave & honest open review. Dads care was great and I was very happy with it, the staff are kept extremely busy but still were very kind and helpful to him and I will always be grateful for that because Id read some horrible reviews on here so for anyone out there please also check independent care home reviews websites I think that will give you a better idea. Lastly I need to add that Fairmount mainly deal with people suffering from mentally degenerative conditions which my dad does not have the flipping hospital sent him there wrongly but theyre mistake was like a gift when it came to the care he received. Thank you to all at Fairmount (except the miserable woman who picks up the phone in the admin department shes very rude) I wish I could name all the lovely staff but doubt theyd be happy to see their names of here THANK YOU

My Nan was originally very happy here and it appeared to be a wonderful place but as time went on we had to move her. I can't even bring myself to write anymore except that she is now in a new home and being cared for in the way that she should of been at 97 years of age

Grade II Listed with a Blue Plaque, the last residence of W.G.Grace, the pre-eminent Victorian sporting personality, best known Englishman of his time and enduring cricketing legend. His leaving the crease marked the end of an era.

My experience with Fairmount has been horrendously disappointing. The facilities are quite nice but the staff's temperament is short and aggressive and their organisation is shockingly bad. After stating that they had rooms available, I provisionally reserved one for my mother who is of a residential home need, and they were then to go to assess my mother. After days of no contact, I rang Fairmount to be told that they deemed my mother as too high level nursing care - which is medically false. I spoke with the staff at the hospital my mum is currently in, and the staff confirmed that staff from Fairmount arrived, didn't wake my sleeping mother to complete an assessment, didn't speak to any of the staff about my mother and left within 5 minutes. THIS IS NOT AN ASSESSMENT. IT IS NEGLIGENT. IT IS LAZY. Most importantly, it shows no level of CARE. Then after this, they failed to show up to do their promised re-assessments of my mother. HORRENDOUSLY POOR.
