This is about the restaurant rather than the accommodation, as we were only eating here, not staying. Really warm welcome from the attentive staff. Table was large for four people so you didn't feel you were struggling to eat without knocking elbows! Great menu, including vegetarian and vegan options. I had their signature Coppleridge burger and it was extremely good. Their small portion of battered haddock would suit most appetites but if you want a full sized portion, they throw in an extra fillet. Throughout the meal the staff were keen to look after us, checking we were happy and bringing drinks to us from the bar. The Coppleridge has been good for a long time - great to see that it still is!

Sunday lunch in the restaurant. Our halloumi starters were good however the mains not so good. The chicken was overcooked so little dry and tough, likewise the roast potatoes. One of the vegetables (cauliflower cheese) was brought to the table when I was eating my last mouthful! The service was generally slow- nearly an hours wait for the starters.
