Having been to M&C Otterspool on a number of occasions the service and food has been excellent. Unfortunately we were sat down after arrival in an almost empty restaurant. Nobody came to offer drinks for a further 20 + minutes. We had to take ourselves to the bar for service. This poor service continued throughout. Again for the second round of drinks after waiting considerable time for service we again found ourselves having to go to the bar and ask for service. The restaurant had very little visible staff available to ask for any sort of service. The time between courses being served was verging on ridiculous. When the food did arrive there was no longer the Child's steak available so they had to use a different cut. The lady went on to explain as this steak is more expensive we have had to give a smaller amount. The piece of meat was roughly 3cm by 3cm. The adult sauces where served cold. When questioned the lady said they must have forgotten to heat them up as even the small saucepan was cold. We also ordered a warm fudge cake for desert which again was served fridge cold. Again we were told this must have been missed. The final insult was two of the guests chose the celebration menu which was not charged accordingly. the price was taken from the normal menu meaning an addition charge. I was so eager to leave i did not check this until i got home. All in all i spent 360 on food and drink and the overall experience fell well below par. One last thing please ask your staff to stop calling all customers love! I won't be making the same mistake again as that will be the last time I use M&C which is a shame.
