I worked here for 2 years from the age of 18. I was the youngest worker at bannister farm and sometimes I thought that was a bad thing but I formed bonds with staff and residents especially thatll Ill cherish for the rest of my life. Communication is something that needs to be improved on but you get issues like this in every job. I can say that the staff and management that I worked with when I were there(minus 1 or 3 individuals) were devoted to care not only to the residents but also for their colleagues which made that place feel like home. The 4 residents that live their are the most amazing individuals I have ever met and Im so glad I had the chance to spend as much time as I did with them and create that strong bond. There are mixed reviews about this place but if you put aside the odd bicker and clash (which you get everywhere as not everyone gets along) then youd see how much of a great job some of these carers do for those 4. The day and night staff put 12/14 hours a day into making them feel like a family, very supportive for one another especially when there is a crisis. Management need to believe in their staff more as I know that they feel like they arent appreciated as much as they should be for all their hard work they do for not only the residents but also for YOU.People just need to remember that we are their voice and disagreements, bickering and competitiveness on whos in charge is not what bannister farm is about. Shaping their lives the best we can is all that matters. I hope since Ive left its changed for the better, for those amazing individuals that live there. Overall bannister farm is like your everyday home, with individuals who care about those 4 amazing people that they are there to look after and make memories with.

Fantastic support workers, brilliant team, who deserve better from management and from Priory. The leadership lets this home down. Micromanaging everything when in work, but absent most of the time. One manager doesnt know 8am is generally the start time. Yet collars others for being late - pot and kettle! Disappointing.

Lovely staff, lovely management, working here is great, took me a while to come round to it but now I'm settled in and really enjoying it. If you're wanting to work here go for it, and if you're looking to house your autistic child here, highly recommended.
