Must stay park ,great for beach & leaving the car if not to loaded with beach gear lol Always enjoyed our stay. Walkability: Town and beach within walking distance if your fit.

A group booking was made. They accepted the booking but then didn't want us to be a group once we arrived. They didn't want the kids in the play area together, they didn't want us to sit together in the club house, they didn't want the kids in the indoor pool together. Club house shuts sharply at 11pm (sometimes earlier), for a group booking this was an issue. Management were happy to take our money but not happy to accommodate a group booking. False claims were made to make us feel unwelcomed. We've been away ,as a group, annually for years and years and never had so many issues. I know group bookings can be problematic but if you are not able to accommodate them, don't accept them. We ended up spending much time in the village and in the Red Barn (absolutely marvelous venue, a must visit) who accommodated us at short notice. In the village the compliments about our group activities and children's behaviour came in thick and fast and were in contrast to the claims made by Woolacombe Sands. 200 housekeeping deposit is not returned to your bank for a good few days, 3 days later. Although the Park release the funds, the process they use to do this is a long one. It's a lot of money for a deposit. A quiet family holiday may work here but if you want fun with friends stay away.
