Nice campsite and friendly, helpful staff. Great farmshop also selling camping essentials, cold drinks (including alcohol) and food. Toilet facilities were modern and clean but very busy on the BH weekend. My only criticism is that there were only 3 washbasins, 2 of them marked for handwash only. These were in constant use and cleaning teeth was a shared experience. There was nowhere to have a shave, no electric points and the basins had no room around them with wet counter tops so nowhere to put any toiletries down.

There is one very beautiful field, with lovely views and as its on a hill lots of space for free range children. We weren't in that field. Where we were you couldn't see beyond the boundaries of the campsite. They've planted lots of uniform, fast growing, non native trees to form hedges internally, with the result that you have no notion of the surrounding beautiful Devon countryside - you could be in a field anywhere. The facilities are poor for the price. There was one drinking water tap in our huge field. The toilets and showers were kept clean but the drains were smelly. There is no communal fridge, which seems pretty standard at similar campsites. Presumably this is to encourage you to buy more at their expensive shop. We'd planned to buy their pizzas on a couple of evenings, but they were also disappointing. Filing but cheap ingredients and mass bought frozen bases. Our pitch was a decent size, but some are small and you'd feel really hemmed in on a small field packed with road and pitches. We wouldn't return. If you go, would recommend asking for the field with the views although it might be a bit windy up top.

Our second visit to Lee meadow was uch anticipated, we loved this place last year and couldn't wait to get there this year. We stayed in the 2nd week of August 2022, in the non electric hook up field. As we expected there was a warm friendly welcome, we were aloud to choose where to pitch up in the field. Same facilities available, a large freezer to alternate your iceblocks, a fabulous shop which stocks amazing variety of wines, beers, bags of ice, fresh baked bread, sweets and also does hot food including stunning delicious takeaway pizza every evening, the reception shop sells everything to do with camping, there is also a bicycle hire shop who also do repairs amongst other things. There are fabulous walks and proper cycle routes very close by, we did cycle route 27, brilliant. Lee Bay is beautiful, always fairly quiet on the Campsite, even when many people arrive, the showers and toilets are always clean and we have never had to queue, it was a perfect holiday week again for us this year, will book again for next year. This is a must for all campers, it's a go to place again and again. Thankyou Lee Farm for a much needed relaxing stay, see you soon.
