Humford Mill Books

My first purchase from Humford Mill Books and I'm already planning future purchases. Having enquired about a series of books, I was delighted by the speed of communication and friendly nature of Roger. Having ordered the books he kept me up to date and the books arrived within two days. The books were incredibly well packaged and actually in better condition than described so I was very impressed. I cannot recommend Humford Mill Books enough, with a world dominated by Waterstones, Blackwells and Amazon it just shows you that the independent book shop still holds the gold standard for customer service.

What an absolutely wonderful shop. It was easy to order, my delivery was quick and the book was packaged with such care and consideration. The item was exactly as described and was in perfect condition. Wonderful customer service as well. I'd give then 10 stars if I could. I will definitely shop here again.

I order a previously owned book from Humford Mill Books via Abe Books. The book arrived within a couple of days. The volume was in mint condition, virtually brand new and the packaging was some of the best I have ever seen. A superb service from this company. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone. Last weekend we had a family discussion about the childhood memories of books we read out loud to our son. The one book he remembered most fondly chosen was Dogger by Shirley Hughes. She so sadly passed away recently and is so sadly missed. We thought it would be nice to find a signed copy of one of her books, as a surprise gift for our son. So we googled Shirley Hughes signed books and came across the website of Humford Mill Books. They had a suitable copy, beautifully described and in excellent condition. Price was extremely reasonable and competitive. So we placed an order. Payment was easy, safe and secure. Our order was immediately acknowledged, as was our payment. The next day we received notification that the book had been dispatched by Royal Mail, Special signed delivery. Which is a much better and safer service than we expected. The parcel arrived exactly as specified. It was packed in a very convenient and ideal cardboard custom made package. Inside the book was wrapped in bubble wrap to make damage highly unlikely in normal transit. The book was in pristine condition, exactly as described. We are delighted with the all round service of Humford Mill Books and will have no hesitation to order from them again. Brilliant product, brilliant service, what more could you ask?

This library is very special to me, I was searching for a book a long time, and finally I discovered Humford Mill, they had it and in a first edition. The shipping was perfect, Im living in Chile, so this book had a long journey to reach my hands. When I open the package I saw the book and inside the book a note, wrote by hand, this thing made me feel so happy, is like to receive a postcard from friend.They sale Children books for every age, they are friendly. I will buy books here again for sure.
