La Residence

We bought a house in Normandy this year with the help of La Residence. From arranging viewings at this end, through the offer then contract and completion process they made the whole thing really easy.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dominic and my overall experience of dealing with La Residence. Without his experience, guidance, skill, professionalism and warmth, my longtime dream of owning a property abroad would still be just that, a dream. Its a reality now and, as much as anyone, I have him to thank for that.

I wish I could give six or more stars to La Residence to bring the average up to a perfect five, where it belongs. My wife and I put our country house in le Perche, SW of Paris, up for sale last year. We were not having much luck with French agencies when I discovered La Residence online. Dominic guided us in supplying the most useful photographs and information, posted a superb announcement, and steered a half dozen potential buyers our way, of whom the last, a couple from Yorkshire, fell in love with the house and made an offer which we accepted following their second visit. As others have noted here, selling French property, especially to international buyers, can be arduous. Dominic and Rebecca, with years of experience, have mastered the process and provide impeccable service every step of the way. We received such prompt, patient and personal attention, via emails and phone calls, one could have thought we were their only clients, which was far from the case. I know the buyers felt equally satisfied. In short: highest possible recommendation!

Buying a home in France isn't easy for an English person, their system is very different to the UK, so you need help. We dealt with Dominic who was helpful and informative throughout. As our offer was accepted he spent time going through the whole process carefully and in detail. At each step he was available and even sat in on a meeting we had with the Notaire to translate for us. The Estate Agent is appointed by the seller so we began with some reticence, but found Dominic to be fair, patient and always available to assist. Would definitely recommend La Residence.
