After paying the admission fee you have free access to three major family history research websites (Ancestry, FindMyPast and The Genealogist), microfilms and fiche of Cheshire parish registers and other records, some of which are not available online, and a huge library of books relating to family and local history for Cheshire and lots of other places, plus free tea or coffee. Arrive at 10am and you can use the facilities all day until 4pm. Just phone or check the website first to make sure they're open, especially if the weather is bad.
