Golden Flower

Waited 20 mins for fish & chips , that eventually came overcooked & hard ! We thought we would give it another go after the young girl serving last time tried charging us almost 17 for 3 small chips & 3 cans ! .....never will I set foot in this place again !!

When you go to a Chinese takeaway I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to receive something more or less resembling authentic Chinese food. However, I ordered a spicy pork curry and got, essentially, a tub of sauce that more closely resembled gravy than curry, with pork in it. Not at all spicy and, looking more like goat vomit than food, not appetising and certainly not authentic. If I hadn't just finished a 12 hour shift, been ravenously hungry and back at my hotel it would have gone back. At least there was plenty of pork.

Myself and my wife love the place. The lady owner is a great lady in my opinion. I ordered food one night and went to the coop cash machine a few doors down. The machine was broke and wasnt giving any cash. I felt so embarrassed having to go back and tell the lady I couldnt pay her. Without a blink of an eye she just said thats ok you can just pay me next time . How kind is that? We go all the time and will continue to do so. A lovely family and lovely food. Ps we drive around 10 miles round trip each time. Well worth it !!! Thanks golden flower I think I may just go there now
