Tues 4th April: First time visit. Hard to fault - easy access, easy going proprietor, good fishing points, not too rough or overgrown but also not too manicured, just the way I like it. Had to work hard to hook and land two, and lost a couple in reeds. First time Tiger (?) trout. All beautiful conditioned fish, not monsters (around 25") but on 5 weight gear great sport, will definitely be back. Olive buzzers and Blood worm patterns did the trick, mid day.

Called in today 31st March, looking at the log it fished well on the 27th. I decide to give it an hour as was only passing, caught two very nice fish, 1 rainbow and 1 tiger both on a small gold headed nymph floating line 9 ft leader. Both fish returned to fight another day. I would like to give this fishery a longer but could not find any method of paying, I did not leave any money but would appreciate some guidance on payment methods.

Been fishing clay lane the last 9 months cant fault it always manage to bag a few with catches ranging from anywhere up to 10/15 fish in a session fishing isnt always easy but the fish are there to be caught with abit of patience and the right approach with a recent stocking of rainbows tigers and spartics up to 5lb to add to the mix

Such a shame. Has so much potential to be a little gem of a fishery but needs some new life in it as well as maybe a few fish. Lovely setting.
