Not the best customer experience for our 1776 build. After running poorly for the first 100 miles, the exhaust being loose, and the distributor falling to bits we decided to get it checked out at Johnson auto works near us. After being recommended we thought there would be no issue with Danny's work. The report from Johnson's found shims made from old Pepsi cans, bits of what can be described as plastic within the engine, wrong size of oiler cooler for the engine making it run hot. After contacting Danny with this information and offering to bring it back to him, we were met with its out of its six-month warranty and nothing to do with me. We have had only one meet and 150 miles out of the engine which was "built" by Danny. No offer of any money back or fixing the issues. Danny kindly offered to repair it and charge us again for poor workmanship, how friendly. We have now had to have a 1641 installed by Johnson auotworks and have a spare 1776 which is a great weight on the garage floor. We were recommended to Danny and had seen some of his previous work. Shame ours looked nothing like it. I have attached photos from the strip down to show.
