Orange Design Studio - Architectural Practice

When we took the decision to take on a huge modernisation and restoration project we were some what overwhelmed with the direction to take. We looked around the market for a suitable architect, being a large project most of the traditional type firms appeared only interested in their fees. After a friends recommendations I had a look at Orange Designs website and instantly liked the blend of old with new on a some of their past projects and after discussions with them we met with Jake to discuss the possibilities of the design. Jake and his team came back with a few proposals of which we selected one and proceeded jointly to further enhance and hone it to our personal requirements and taste. The initial planning consent didnt go well as the site has a complete TPO (Tree preservation order) on it and our local council were very tardy. Orange Designs got onto this and smoothed the way and our project pushed forward. With Jake and the team outlining project timescales, suggesting developers of which we were most pleased with, the project came to a successful completion . I can say that the project has been challenging/rewarding/stressful/interesting and it is no longer a project but our 'forever home'. I can whole heartedly recommend Jake and hist team at Orange designs.They are professional, diligent and competent but above all design led.

We worked with Jake and the team at Orange Design Studio for a conversion project which was in the greenbelt. They provided a really efficient service and their drawings and documents were very thorough and precise. We were really impressed with their ideas and how they were brought into fruition. Orange and Connor were a superb partner in supporting us with our extension. At the beginning of the project we had a list of ideas and Orange started by producing 6 completely different concepts with varied designs (traditional to modern) and budgets. This allowed us to understand what was possible and narrow down what we wanted, which ended up as a combination of the designs produced. Planning was achieved without any issues. We started the build confident in the design which was a real help. I'd recommend Orange especially for the concept design stage. Thanks!

Firstly, I would like to say, many thanks to Orange Design Studios for the outstanding work they have completed for us. Perhaps foolishly, we decided to take on building two houses from scratch with little knowledge of how to go about this. As we knew planning permission was the starting point, we needed a design worthy of the development. We were recommended to go to Orange Design and were so glad of this. Right from the initial consultation the team explained everything including helping us with our role and responsibilities, which was just what we needed as novices. We gave Orange Design the go ahead and they produced a fantastic contemporary design which was perfect, they also helped get this passed by the planning department. We were kept informed at every stage and made to feel supported and we are confident that they are a very competent professional team. Even after the planning process was concluded Orange Design are still helping us with guidance and advice. We will not hesitate to recommend them to anybody who asks. Thanks again Orange Design!
