My mum moved here from another home and the quality of care is top notch staff are friendly and professional and have time for the residents. My Dad is much happier with her here than previous home. Thank you to all for the care you have shown to my mum it is muchly appreciated and with visitors the detail to attention is fantastic

This home used to be the best in Minehead, even Somerset! But for whatever reason they keep employing terrible managers! The latest manager Mr Don has joined the list, may even be the worst one yet! Gives off an arrogant persona, which I could understand if he was up to standard but from mine and my families dealings he very very clearly has no right working in care. His basic knowledge of basic care is below par, not knowing simple information on person centred care, safeguarding or abuse. His lack of knowledge is followed by the poor man management. The careers are left to run around d doing whatever they want, I have seen so much which is classed as abuse which I have reported to him but nothing has been done, so ihave now reported to CQC. HI have witnessed him be downright rude to the employees and am disheartened in the direction Eastleigh is heading.

My mother was put in this home for respite care. She hated ever second of her time in there. The food was bland, tasteless and served cold. Completely inedible. Anything she requested never ever arrived. She was given a bell to ring which was absolutely pointless as no one ever responded. They have lost her very expensive hearing aid. All the staff are from overseas and their clarity in speaking to the elderly residents is anything but clear. She couldnt understand them and they couldnt understand her. Very unsatisfactory and definitely not recommended for the long term. I wouldnt place her back in their even for respite care. Probably fine for poor souls with Dementia but she deteriorated during her time in there because there was absolutely no one to speak to and interact with.
