A great premium dining option at Butlins Minehead. From cereals, porridge and yogurts to start. Then a brilliant choice if hot breakfast items, freshly made omelettes & pancakes and a host of pastries, fresh cheese and meets to finish. All served with a good selection of hot and cold drinks. It gets a little busy so head in early to avoid the rush, but highly recommend.

Premium dining has a premium price but nothing premium about it. First off the waiting staff work extremely hard and they get 5 stars. But ultimately this is a buffet restaurant that's like a madhouse with people dodging each other with plates of food or drinks. Food was good but not amazing. You pay the extra for having something cooked fresh but you need to que for 10-20 mins for that luxury and then the person Infront of you orders for a table of 6! The Grill section is chicken or beefburgers that have been pre cooked then just thrown on the grill while your wait to heat up and even then it's luke warm. They say they can cater for any dietary needs but when I asked the lady at the grill station did they do gluten free buns for the burgers she had no clue and started looking at the box the buns came in for the ingredients!! Wok station 15 min wait and then the food was really greasy. Carvery decent. Breakfast waited again 15 minutes for an omelette and then got given someone else's! Juice machine had no orange juice at all on our 4 day stay! Surely that should be standard. Some had apple juice but most of the time it's either lemon or something called pear rose!? So you get watered down juice or hot drinks dispensed that's it! No fizzy drinks. Also as it's a free for all I had people Infront hogging up 2 machines at once to get their drinks served. Deserts good but pretty much the same every day. What you get with premium is somewhere slightly better to sit with tables spaced apart a bit further. I don't think it's worth it personally. Consider the basic dining package which is pretty much the same without the carvery or queing up for stuff. Or pay the extra and have the dining in restaurants choice and least you'd get a decent drink included. Next time I won't go for a dining package at all. Plenty of choice on site and for similar money you would get a proper dining experience or a take out pizza/fish and chips while watching a show on the skyline stage.
