I took my cat for an initial assessment/consultation. Vet spent 60 seconds (generous estimate) doing basic checks. Paid 42.60 for the visit and was told its most likely a dental problem - further investigation would be needed when the cat is sedated. Shortly subsequent to this, I noticed a discharge from her ear that I had not noticed before the consultation and that her ear was causing her pain when I tried to inspect more closely. I explicitly told the vet she had no problem eating so I was unconvinced that it was a dental issue. I'm not a vet, but I think that ear discharge needed to be noticed with perhaps 20 more seconds of consultation time included in the 42.60, and a tentative diagnosis made. They seemed far too keen to have my cat booked in for sedation that on its own has been estimated at about 200. Very disappointed.
