Sumac Room

Went on a reasonably quiet Wednesday evening. The restaurant was nicely presented, well laid out and spotless. The service was excellent, with the wait staff checking in multiple times with myself and my partner. The food was excellent. I could have eaten the bread and hummus starters all day long. The main (Mixed kebab) was fantastic, and the drinks were amazing too. Would reccomend.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR VISIT AGAIN. Ordered mixed shish, chicken shish and lamb chops between 2 people, still hungry after finishing all dishes - portion size is small for the price. The bread (I think was complimentary) was very dry - I hope it was complimentary as it isnt worth paying for. Spent 70 on drinks and food, and used 6 pots of sauce. The first two pots were free, however I was charged for the other 4 pots, and I was only told that Id be charged when I asked for the final 2 pots. When you spend 70, you dont expect to be charged for extra sauce and blindsided about the charge. You cant expect two people to have 3 main dishes and have 2 pots of sauce. The sauce may only be 1 a pot but its just as easy for the restaurant to bear the cost of the sauce as it is for the customer (probably easier as the sauce definitely does not cost 1 a pot).

hassan done a wonderful job in assisting us with our food which was 10/10 would definitely recommend coming to this place if you love turkish cuisine Kid-friendliness: treated children in a kind manor
