Having moved back to Milton Keynes in 2020 after 15 years away and having an established optician in Croydon where I lived I was wary of using a new optician! Well maybe not new as had used Scrivens in 2003! After an initial visit to the Milton Keynes branch for a quick review of frames and service and a brief chat with Jas, my mind up was made up and the following Friday booked an appointment for the next day with George. Turned up at 11:00 and was greeted professionally by Jas and George and the optician. After the test I was referred to the local eye clinic due to high eyeball pressure. All done professionally and explained. Speaking with Jas I then chose some frames that I had already previewed and she gave me all the necessary info with regards to price and all with a friendly smile and demeanour! So much so that I decided to get a second pair of glasses. With an offer on as well I decided to get frames from another store but no problem! Lens would be done to fit and all would be great!! As I was beginning to like this store at competitive pricing I decided to ask about sunglasses!! No problem said Jas and proceeded to explain all the options! Frame styles didnt quite match what I was looking for but that was no problem to Jas who explained that I could get get other frames and lenses made to fit!! All in all after spending over 2500 on 4 pairs I honestly would not consider going to any opticians anywhere at all!! Fantastic service and I have to say this to Scrivens Management!!! 1. If you dont offer a customer care award for staff then you need to start doing so!! 2. When you do start then give this lady Jas a thought as she is a fantastic example of what exemplifies excellent customer service and a smile and deserves to be recognised!! I like this store so much I may just get another pair of glasses before the summer is out!! Or 2 pairs!!!!

Worst experience ever! Went to boots after 2 days and provided me a prescription, as they said I do not need any glasses , even though I was struggling to see!

Update in Feb 2023 After contacting customer service centre directly I have been given the option to have another frame which should be at the same price as last one. Thank you Akta for suggesting me to sort out with the right department and for helping me choose a new frame and thanks Jas for very patient adjustment upon collection. This time I went for a branded frame hopefully the quality is a lot better than last one. Increased the rating by 3 stars to the two nice ladies and the final solution. Update in Jan 2023: their replacement glasses was broken again after only 6 months. It was broken at the same place at the ear and the prescription glasses connection on the frame as it was broken last time. They cannot give me replacement anymore as their suppliers said it is out of warranty from my original purchase at the end of 2021 although this replacement glasses only lasts for 6 months. I sincerely think the quality from their frame is very bad or the skills of inserting prescription glasses to the frame needs to be improved. For my glasses it feels the prescription glass is too big for the frame therefore after certain time it will damage the frame at the connection point. I have been using glasses over 20 years and never broken any frame at all and I know how to protect my glasses so I really think the quality from Scivens suppliers is unreliable. Now I waste over 300 because they do not replace my just over 1 year glasses so if there is zero star I will definitely put zero. But I still want to thanks for the nice ladies in the store, I understand it is not their fault and as a result they offer 50% off for my next purchase but I don't trust this brand anymore and 50% off is actually their normal sale price so I cannot accept this kind of gesture. Please stay away from Scivens otherwise you may end up going to the shop to repair or replace glasses every couple of month and then result in no glasses after their 1 year warranty. June 2022 review: (5 Star at that time) I purchased my glasses here and the frame's broken for no reason after 2 months. Scrivens very nicely helped me to reach the manufacturer and after testing I've been given a new one very quickly. They got the prescription or whatever wrong so I feel very dizzy and Jas sent back to the manufacturer immediately to check and re-do everything. Upon my collection today Jas was very patient and nice to re-fit the glasses for me. In my previous experience, most other high street opticians' staff won't be able to fit with my nose properly but at Scrivens, Jas was really professional in finding the right way to make it work.

What a fantastic service from all the staff, Jaz was my main contact who contacted me a week later to make sure all was ok. My appointment was for a second opinion and to help with diagnosing an eye issue, with their help found I had a foreign body on my eye, they wrote me a letter which I was able to take to A&E 15 minutes later and get treated. The fact Jaz called me week later just to check all was ok for me takes customer care to new beautiful level.

Ive had consistently great service from Scrivens staff for my whole familys eye care needs. Customer service is superb and I now recommend Scrivens to my friends because of this. Highly recommended if you want an optician who really wants to make sure you are looked after.
