5 star service from start to finish. I had a proper and thorough eye test with a girl named Katy, unlike some opticians out there with their so called fancy eye testing machines that last all of 5 minutes and you come away blinder than before. At DW Roberts in Stony Stratford you knew you were in the hands of experts. She took her time and I come away feeling my eyes were properly examined. I was allowed to choose my glasses at my own pace and they didnt rush me. The amount of time I took to choose the frames with my Girlfriend the girl, Nicole, had the patience of a saint. Nicole and Katy were amazing and both were so friendly and lovely. As was the receptionist Jo. You feel safe and in good hands when you are there. The glasses were great!!!! I was disappointed with the service I received at DW Roberts. I dont believe the eye test produced a prescription which was correct and on what would now be their third attempt to rectify this, I gave up and went to another optician who verified that my correct prescription is actually much weaker than what was prescribed at Roberts. The optometrist who tested me both times was polite and professional but I think she was a graduate or trainee. The range of glasses that they carry is quite limited compared to most independent opticians and no premium brands are available, hence I had to go to a different optician to buy the (Chanel) frame, which I am now left with the wrong prescription in. I like to shop with local independent businesses but I feel that I would have got better service elsewhere. This was an expensive mistake!
